I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Pepperdine University's Seaver College. I received a Ph.D in accounting from the University of Southern California, and BA and MA from Baylor University, where I studied accounting, marketing, and Spanish. I am a licensed CPA in the state of Texas and worked for Deloitte in Dallas, TX for 3 years, specializing in tax accounting methods as part of the Strategic Tax Review group.
My research interests include financial accounting and tax related topics. Currently, my research projects focus on corporate charitable contributions and how nonprofit organizations' accounting decisions impact their access to capital. In my free time, I enjoy skiing with my husband Jeff, practicing yoga, gardening, and baking.
